Ede and Ravenscroft offers a Personal Tailoring shirt service starting from £150 in which you have the opportunity to choose from a wide selection of luxury cloths, cuffs and collar styles, and all crafted in England. Under the guidance of our expert in-store team of advisors, our service places you at the centre of the design process so you can benefit from your very own shirt style, fit and finer personal touches to ensure you have a shirt that is personal to you.
We believe the art of constructing a beautiful shirt should consider 6 key elements. This process will ultimately provide a shirt that is defined and unique to you.
Measurement & Cloth selection
A personally tailored shirt involves approximately 5 measurements or more. Once your measurements have been taken you are now in a position to select a cloth and pattern from our wide selection. We offer a range of cloths that include:
Two fold cotton poplin
A perfect cloth for a smart business shirt. Fine Egyptian cotton yarns twisted (folded) together to give the fabric a superior smooth appearance and luxury feel.
Fine 120’s cotton
The higher the yarn count, the finer and more luxurious the cloth. Visit your nearest store and see our selection of cloths with various fine counts of up to 200’s that can be personally tailored for your own individual shirt.
Cotton twill /herringbone/pinpoint/royal oxford
Types of textured weave. Textured weaves tend to hide creases well and are often easier to iron!
Classic Oxford
The Oxford is an ideal choice for a more casual or relaxed shirt with soft and durable qualities. Our yarn is heavier (3 ply – 3 'twists' of yarn) to give a great performance and smart/casual appearance. As the yarn is heavier, the end result is a harder wearing fabric with a soft feel ideal for everyday wear.
Warm handle cotton
May be brushed or finished for a softer handle. Usually in checked patterns or tattersal shirts ideal for weekend wear.
Collar
We offer a selection of 11 styles of collars to compliment your shirt, ideal for Business wear, Formal wear to more relaxed Weekend wear. Our collars are also available as a detachable option for a tunic shirt.

Classic Cutaway Also known as a spread collar, the cutaway adds a more formal approach to your dress code.
